Cloud Room

Cloud Room On YouTube.

Erica, Chris and I built a cloud chamber type of diffusion of objects that are often below the target. We have: - polycarbonate containers for food storage - block of dry ice - small pan - shallow plastic tray - 30 watt HID flashlight - a few threads - 99% isopropyl alcohol - a few paper towels - like the Canon HV20 HD camcorder and a HDMI TV - a power supply from an ionizer Monitor / Recorder - some 3M black tape (NOT the stuff is too shiny ribbon) - some bubble wrap to insulate the cold sidebeautiful - were the Am-241 source from a smoke detector (~ 1 micro-Curie) The results are quite good, and edited highlights will be shown here.
